Refueling Trucks Headed to NYC


Today, Governor Andrew M. Cuomo announced that temporary fuel trucks are being deployed at various locations in NYC and Long Island to help emergency vehicles and the general public who are in need of gas for their vehicles. The 5,000-gallon trucks have been provided by the U.S. Department of Defense at the director of President Barack Obama, and these are being deployed in coordination with the New York National Guard at the director of Governor Cuomo. there is an additional 150,000 gallons of fuel available to restock the trucks throughout the day.
Cars can fill up directly off the trucks. NOTE: There is a 10-gallon limit per vehicle.
On Long Island, there will be a truck at the Freeport Armory, 63 Babylon Turnpike, Freeport, NY.
There are also trucks in New York City at the following locations:
  • Queens Armory

    Jamaica, NY

  • Bronx Armory
    10 West 195 St.
    Bronx, NY

  • Brooklyn Armory
    1579 Bedford Avenue
    Brooklyn, NY

  • Staten Island/Elizabeth Armory
    321 Manor Road
    Staten Island, NY
